I do not create the images/graphics that use in my custom blog designs,
but rather use stock images & digital scrapbook kits that have been approved for web design.
The cost of the images/graphics used in your design
will be added to the cost of your makeover package.Stock images/illustrations are popular with blog design, especially the cartoon people.
Here are a few recent designs that incorporate stock images~
Stock images from fotolia.com, dreamstime.com, or 123RF.com run $1.25 per credit and usually the smallest size will suffice. Stock images from Istock.com are $1.50+ per credit. If you are trying to keep costs down on your design then take a look at the first 3 sites listed. You may purchase the stock image yourself and then send it to me to use, but please let me know ahead of time so that I can determine if the stock images is usable in your design.
Digital scrapbook kits are just a digital version of scrapbook kits. They include coordinated papers (backgrounds) and embellishments which look great in a blog design. Each digital kit designer has a set of terms which state how their kits may be used. Many do not allow web/blog design with their kits and all state that their kits may not be shared so I have to obtain the kit used in your design. A few designers require that a special license be purchased in addition to the price of the digital kit. You are responsible to pay the extra for this license if you so choose a kit from one of these designers.

Please hit reply to the email with the questionnaire to request to get onto the wait list. You do not have to have the questionnaire filled out or submit payment to get on the wait list. Current wait list & time are listed on the sidebar of my home page. Clients are added to the wait list in order of contact. If you are choosing to pay the $20 extra to go to the top of the wait list or are choosing top of the wait list as one of your options on the Ultimate package then please return the questionnaire as soon as possible.
If you are not ready to begin your design when you get near the top of the wait list then I will jump ahead to other clients and extend your wait time.

I will be in touch with you a day or 2 before I am ready to begin so that we can discuss your design and finalize the design elements. This is the point where I will clarify questions surrounding your questionnaire and design and make a plan for the design. I ask that you just hit reply to the email we have going back and forth (please do not start a new email with a different subject) and that you respond to my emails quickly. There will be a lot of emails going back and forth from this point on so please check your email frequently so that we can keep the design process on track. If you are slow to respond then I will move onto the next client and finish your design as time permits.

Once we have calculated the total cost of your makeover you will submit payment via PayPal. You can pay via the widget below (use can fill in the price of the design elements rounded up to the nearest dollar), send payment via PayPal to my email address, or I can send a Pay Request.

Services are provided by Diana Hansen aka FreeStyleMama Creations.

Blog Makeover Packages include only the services listed in Step One. If you are unsure if a service is provided, please ask ahead of time. You may also check the FAQ page.
PreMade Blog Designs only include the services listed in the description of each design.

Packages do not include:
• Widgets/Gadget installation, movement, or removal
• Opinions on how or what you should blog or put on your blog
• Information/teaching you how to blog (There are lots of great tutorials listed on the sidebar of my sister site The Blogger Tutor and you can always Google to find information/tutorials. Diana does have one-on-one tutoring sessions available for a fee.)
• Follow up adjustments and maintenance. Once the design is complete you must pay to have things changed, added, or adjusted.

Design Elements:
The cost of the design elements used in your design is not included in my prices. The cost of the elements chosen in Step Two will be added to the cost of the service. This includes any fonts that need to be purchased, although most people pick free fonts.

Copy & Paste:
Diana will copy & paste the information (title, tagline, signature, etc.) provided by you. Please make sure you proofread the information you provide! If Diana has to go back and change a typo that you provided, a service fee may be assessed if the blog has already been completed.

Image Storage:
Graphics used in the design of a blog are stored & linked at Photobucket. You will need to create a free Photobucket account and share your log-in & password information with Diana before installation. You may request to have your images stored on Custom Blog Designs’ account for an additional fee.

Installation:
You need to provide your Blogger log-in & password or add Diana as an admin contributor to your blog before installation.
All your posts will remain after installation and you will post/add photos/add widgets just as you did before the new design. Signature & divider & icons will be coded to automatically appear on your blog. On rare occasion sidebar widgets/gadgets are lost during installation. Please make sure you back up all your widgets before installation. Custom Blog Designs is not responsible for any missing widgets. Any widget codes added directly into template html will be removed. Custom Blog Designs is not responsible for fixing anything with your template if you alter the coding in anyway, including widget installation.

Service & Time Limits:
Diana of Custom Blog Designs provides quick responses to emails and completes services in a timely manner. Clients are expected to do likewise. Please keep in communication with Diana and do not drag things out. If something comes up (family emergency, etc.), please let her know! Custom Blog Designs wants you to be completely satisfied with your individualized blog design and will make reasonable edits. Clients who ask for numerous changes (yes, changes are expected, but this is in reference to people being overly picky or changing their mind, this is a rarity!) which cause a slow down in the wait list will be given a warning. If edits requests continue after the warning, then a $20/hour service fee will be charged to complete the design. Clients who request a brand new proof (requesting new design elements be used or want the design started over) will be charged the cost of the new design elements plus time already spend on their design at $20/hour. If you do not respond to email which causes a service to not be completed within 2 months of payment, you will forfeit service and payment. Partial refunds will not be issued. Prearranged services such as updating a photo in a header due to adoption or birth do not apply to this 2 month time frame. Potential clients who drag out the start of a blog design will be moved to the bottom of the wait list and/or will not be provided services at all.

Designer Credits & Copyright:
A small thin Custom Blog Designs logo is placed on the bottom left edge of each blog design. Designer credits are also place in a sidebar widget of each design as required by the designers of graphics used in your design. You may pay $10 to have the edge logo removed, but it is required that the sidebar design credits stay on your blog. You may move the location of this credits widget.
All graphics & template coding of Custom Blog Designs is copyrighted. When you are done with the design you must remove all graphics, links, logos, and template coding created by Custom Blog Designs. The design may not be moved to another blog or platform. If you wish to have the design moved to another blog you must obtain permission from Custom Blog Designs. This permission will be granted on a case-by-case basis and will include a portability fee. This fee does not include installation. Custom Blog Designs maintains ownership of all graphics & template coding. You agree to not edit, alter, or share the template or graphics created by Custom Blog Designs. Custom Blog Designs is not responsible for providing these files to you.

Portfolio:
A screenshot of your completed blog design will be posted & linked at Custom Blog Designs. If you prefer to keep the blog private please let Diana know and it will not be linked.

Refunds:
Since Custom Blog Designs does not require payment until Diana is ready to being the design process, refunds will not be issued.

When I ask clients what size they want for their blog button many say they are not sure. The standard exchange size is 125 pixels square which is the first shown below. Depending on the width of the sidebar a wider button could get cut off. If you have a section where you are posting advertising it's important to have a standard size because if you mix up the sizes it throws the section off.

Navigation Bar

Many people use navigation links so that visitor can find important parts of their blog easily. Most often the navigation links are below the header, but you can also find them above or in the sidebar. Here is a screenshot of my personal blog with the navigation links pointed out.If this is going to be part of your design I am going to need to know what links you want included. I do not just know and cannot just make it magically look like someone else's blog. I need to know what you want!

This is how the navigation link bar works. You need to let me know the exact name of each link and the URL for each name. The URL can be a specific post or Blogger page on your blog, a URL outside your blog, or a label/category of posts.

A specific post or page on your blog is good for a link that has info that is permanent or won't be changed much, such as About Me, Advertise with Us, Why Adoption, etc.
A URL outside your blog might be a link to your Facebook page, Twiter, an Etsy shop, another blog, etc.
Labels/categories are best for a link that will go to multiple posts, such as Giveaways, Recipes, Tutorials, etc. An example of this is on my Diana Rambles blog (http://dianarambles.com) with the Recipes link. I've added the label recipe to each post that has a recipe and that link on the navigation bar is linked to: http://www.dianarambles.com/search/label/recipe

You are responsible for creating your post or page on blogger as it's not part of my makeover packages. You can get the direct URL to a post by clicking on the title of the post. Then you go up to the browser bar and copy & paste that URL and give it to me.

If you choose to have something linked to a label/category you must provide me the EXACT name of that label. If you tell me Recipes, but then label your blog with recipes (lower case) it won't be linked up. It's case sensitive! Here is a tutorial about putting labels on posts: http://bloggers-university.blogspot.com/2009/01/how-to-add-or-remove-labels-in-blogger.html (read this tutorial AFTER you've given me the link info!)

Contact (Me) can either link directly to your email address (depending on the template we use) or you can give me the post/page URL to link to it. Please provide me with the email address you want or the URL. Please don't just say something like the one on my account or the one on PayPal.
